A women wanted an choice to the social Greek sorority models. Since that period, Sigmthe Alpha has get a national organization consisting of Lx chapters, comprised of undergrad & alumnae members. Now, to a higher degree 4,000 members develop been initiated into Sigma Alpha Sorority.

A sorority was known as Sigma Alpha for "Sisters in Agriculture." A sorority lean colors of emerald & maize, a tot bull for a mascot, a yellow chrysanthemum for the flower, & the emerald for the jewel. Sigma Alpha's catchword is: Women Excelling within Agriculture.
